Sunburn Aside....Really Loved the Cruise!

Brian and I took a cruise. It went from San Diego to Cabo then Ensenada then back to San Diego. It was 5 days! Brian ate an impressive amount of food...ordering 2 aps, 2 meals (Steak and Lobster as well as Chicken Pasta) and two or three deserts every night at dinner. Why? Because he could. The only negative for me was going without soda...I am seriously getting a soda pass next time. I almost died without it. The cruise ship was beautiful inside and out! There was a golf course, two pools, a few hot tubs...and our room was surprisingly large! Take a look...

A sunburn can seriously put a damper on the day!

Before I tell you the great parts about our cruise. Check out the sun burn!!! I had to wear clothes (head to toe) on the beach to cover up in cabo. :( CLICK ON THE FIRST ONES FOR A CLOSER LOOK!

San Diego Cali (Before the Cruise)

We took a ride around town to see the sites!

TWO love birds, ONE map and FOUR az lakes to visit in ONE day.

Brian decided to surprise me this morning with something he had planned. It took me off gaurd a bit because he doesn't do that. For those of you that know us, it comes as no surprise that I am the official event cordinator in our relationship. He is the master of V-day's, anniversaries and other special occasions but when it comes to the everyday stuff and weekend plans...I usually do the dirty work. But today was different. When we woke up he told me to put sneakers on and grab a sweater because we were leaving for the day. I was really excited until we went outside and I saw that the truck was loaded with outdoorzee stuff like his camo packpack, guns and cardboard targets. (Not exactly my idea of a romatic set of goods, ya know?)

Once my eyes caught the shovel laying in the back of the truck, I looked at him and asked if he was planning to kill me. He assured me it was a necessary safety precaution for any road trip to an unexplored area and we hit the road.

To make a (could be excrusiatingly long) story short, we enjoyed a 5 hour road trip together. Visiting multiple lakes allong the way, we ran into a cactus mountain, a full blown rainbow and even a few waterfalls. It was seriously amazing and we both found it to be really relaxing. And, just when I though it couldn't get any better-he took me to Cafe Rio for dinner!

Take a look at some of the pics I took today!

To my Valentine.....

Ok so I will just tell you right now. I took pictures of nothing. I know, totally out of character for me. I was having one of those days where I was like "spend less time documenting it and more time actually enjoying it." To make a long day short...Flowers (12 dark pink tulips), breakfast (the works-cooked by B), gifts, movie (Valentine's Day) and he cooked me an amazing dinner complete with white wine. He even planned desert with champagne! Now that I think about it...we pretty much ATE all day long.

Anyway, I am a big fan of him and this vday (our 6th) was one for the books!

I figure i should throw in a pic to keep things interesting- so here is one from when Brian was 19 and I was 17 years old!

The couple that plays together stays together! Skate edition.

I love doing things that kids do! It's not fair for them to have all the fun. This particular outing was prompted by Sandy (the other love of my life). We work together. It was her sons b-day and we got an invite. It was seriously soooo fun. I recommend it. Really!

But if you have a dare devil better half...be sure to watch your back! B came up and gave me a "push" several times. Against my will. P.S. B said it best...whoever invented skating in the dark needs to be shot. IT WAS SO DANGEROUS!

Takin' a Hike!

It's crazy. We have lived here for years and never knew that there were trails right behind our house! We drove up, got out and scavaged around a bit...we came across an old brick building. Check it out...
